Notes - Items with this notation are from the personal collection of Tool Memorabilia and are not property of CU.ORG: There is a story that is not mine to tell about these unique DAT tapes as these were procured by the legendary collector known as Tool Memorabilia from his vast entanglements within the Tool community. The DAT tapes were transferred by Galen in 2012 and given back to the owner. If these tapes exist then you best believe more than these DAT tapes exist in the wild… That said, I’m not implying one can procure what Tool Memorabilia has been able to do over a long collecting career but if you never try, you will never know. Notes: So, this DAT tape, literally, is the finished album in all of it’s glory, prior to it’s release. This is exactly the same as the entry of 1996.07.10 but with the added bonus of a completed version of No Quarter tacked at the back of the album on DAT. This leads me to believe that the band must have recorded No Quarter several times over their earlier years as, for sure, there are differences between this and the cassette version ascertained from a former Zoo Rep. Someone asked me once why I care/d enough to start up this website and spend time/money on this hobby… my answer… different versions of No Quarter? Are you kidding me? How cool is that? Unsure what was up with the DAT tape cover as it was a scan.
