Source A: Mini Disc --- Core Sound Binaurals > Sharp MT77 / Duncan
Source A: Mini Disc --- Core Sound Binaurals > Sony MZ-R700 / Dave M.
Source A: Remastered by: CatalystX (2002)
Gen: 1st from Master
Notes: Amazing setlist for this era. Would love to see a Tool performance with this setlist. Wow. This is, in my opinion, the best sounding source for this performance. And, what a performance this was. Sound is balanced, focused & the crowd seems to be considerate as whooping is kept at a minimum. Pleasant and comforting performance. Each taper at one stack then the sources were edited together by CatalystX. The results are interesting. The 'CatalystX' version is widely available & with good reason: it is excellent. Times below reflect that version. As a note, there have not been verified single sources of either of these captures released in the trade pool.

Source B: Mini Disc --- Sony ECM-ZS90 > Sharp MT821
Taper: Randy R.
Gen: 1st from Master
Notes: Not really a bad recording by any means but the presence or ambience just isn't really all the way there. If that makes sense. There is a bit of fuzz on this recording, not sure where the cause is from...sounds like computer static. Maybe the taper had his microphone gain too high when putting this onto CD...I don't know. That's what it sounds like. Not that bad if you adjust the levels on your stereo. All in all, there are better audio sources available.

Source C: Mini Disc --- Sound Pro Cardioids > SPSB-2 Battery Box > Sharp SR-60
Taper: Ian
Gen: 1st from Master
Notes: Sound is a bit distant, a fair amount of crowd noise and the entire recording sounds a trifle muffled. It's really not 'bad', by any standards, but, in comparison with the other sources I've heard for this show, it's not all that much. If you were to just hear this off the bat & have nothing to compare it to, it would be good to your ears. It is sort of silly that whomever transferred the show to CD split up Disp & Refl. Also, there really is the most crowd noise on this source than on the other Brixton '02 shows.
Maynardism: "Thank you John. John from Pablo on drums, thank you. Thank you very much for your support, we're hoping that we serve as a catalyst, uh, for inspiration or healing or both. Especially in these relatively dark times. Hopefully, the good guys will win & uh creativity will find it's place amongst all of this."
