Notes: There is a fundamental difference between listening to a Tool recording & watching/listening to a Tool recording. Sometimes, one is better than that other./ Often, watching & experience both, even multiple sources, leads one to distinct discoveries involving the performance that one would miss by only hearing or seeing one. This video is a testimonial to that fact. Simply put, this just adds a new dimension to the group. You know how you can hear two or three or even four shows which have the exact same setlist and one of them will just stand-out more? This recording stands out more, in my opinion. When I slide this in & watch it or even have it on in the background as I'm doing whatever, it just reiterates why I like this band so much. How good they are...sure the setlists can get repetitive but they are still excellent. The filming is very good but not professional, some decent close-ups but a bit distant and also a little tinny sound. This is possibly, in my opinion, one of the better videos from this leg of the tour.

Notes: Exceptional quality for a mini disc source, a basic source as well. Nice. Sound is leveled off very nicely & Maynard's voice coats the recording. Instruments are perfect. A tiny little brickwall is on this recording. There is just a little bit of crowd chatter (not the taper's fault) as well as a very nice 'solo' chant of Maynard's Dick during Eon Blue Apocalypse. As for the band, I hear a few minor slip ups. Most noticeable is when Adam plays the intro to 4 degrees as Justin & Dan bust into Flood. If you listen, there are a few minor performance blemishes but I assure you I am being picky. Which is good, I guess. Depends on how you look at it... its really hard to get a bad recording using CSB mics.
Maynardism: "Thank you Vince, thank you John. John & Vince: formerly of the Cocetau Twins. They both know are assistant managing a Sizzler at Riverside, California. Drop in... ...We'd like to thank Tomahawk for providing dinner and we hope you all are inspired by this moment we've all shared together. Hopefully, you'll take this experience home & create something positive with it. Thank you for coming"
