Notes:
Specifically, this was taped from the Air Canada private mezzanine section, 3 rows behind the red hockey bench.  this recording captures Tool at a locale which is quite different than the majority of 2002 gigs. Although it could be argued that Tool was not 'expanding' setlists or anything like that during the first part of the Fall '02 tour, it is a fact that they were delivering powerful, polished, precise & intense performances that definitely rocked many people's sense of reality. And hearing. This recording is, perhaps, the best analog recording I have ever heard; Tool or not. There is not anything wrong or to have issue with. Simple as that. This, somehow, captures Tool almost exactly as they sound live; something the majority of mini disc & DATs come close to but usually seem to fall a little short on. Hard to explain. This just seems like one of the most honest live recordings yet to surface. The sound is not brickwalled nor are there any negative issues. The only issue, if you were to really search for it is a slight -wish/wash- of the cymbals on Parabola & Opiate on the master tape, which was fixed with EQ after the fact. Even the people around the taper are relatively respectful. Also, one more thing, not really sure about how many or which bands go to Calgary but I doubt it is many on a very regular basis but you never know. Also, this was a pretty large-size as well, about 15K capacity &, according to the taper, it is shaped like a big saddle. A quote regarding this building via the taper: "We pulled up to this place & just looked at it for about 5 minutes - whoah."

Maynardism:
"Drummer, drum-tech & resident psychic. Thank you very much for sharing this moment with us tonight. What we'd like you to do is, to remember this moment, remember the feelings you had tonight, whether you had a good experience, a bad experience or an indifferent experience is irrelevant. Just remember this feeling & in the coming weeks, coming months & the coming years, use this feeling to create something positive. Use this feeling to heal someone else. Thank you for joining us."
