Notes by Galen 8/2012: What a fantastic recording. Surprisingly crisp and clear I could not even hazard a guess as to what microphones were used but the end result is a smooth listen. Individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder will notice some amount of tape warble, strange fluctuations in sound and a few blasts of silence. But that it to be expected from a recording surfaced online via a torrent 20 years after the fact. This is a rather early recording from Tool's career. Goes to show, you never know what is going to show up in regards to high quality recordings. And I mean that, this is a high quality recording when you consider the raw vibrancy of the performance, exceptionally clear sound and a reasonably cool set list. Best quote from the audience: "These guys are just so fucking awesome" (after Hush). Second favorite: "Hey, where's my fucking beer man?" Early in the performance there seemed to be some issues with security or the venue as between songs the band stops to allow some work to be done. Not really clear. All that said, this is one of my personal favorite recordings of Tool from this period. The performance is fantastic and the quality is... is... rad. Yeah, rad. Go listen to it.
