Notes - Taper:
My 39th TOOL show... 28th attempt at taping them... and it looks like the last one for awhile. A couple of things to note... They opened the show with a little video tease from the (at the time) unreleased Vicarious DVD... that blue and white TOOL logo that flashes on your screen when you play the DVD. They also used the menu still shot during the intermission/set break. Other than that there was nothing too different about this show. It was nice hearing Flood again after so long. Enjoy!

Notes - Galen:
This source may, possibly, be one of the better sounding recordings from the final leg of the 10K Day tour. I'm not throwing that around loosely for the hell of it. Other than some hoot-n-and-holler-in the source captures a rather raw but polished performance of Tool. Maybe it is my attention span (or lack thereof) but I did not detect any inconsistencies with the performance of the band or any technical issues with the recording. Vocals are spot-on in the mix, the guitars are balanced with the bass & Danny has not sounded so good..

Maynardism:
"Good evening New Orleans. So what's new? Ready to go big or go home?"

Notes: This is a clean recording for the most part with crowd cheering close to the proximity of the mic capsules but this is a fleeting concern. For the time period, this is a solid recording. Recorded, what sounds to me, from either left or right of the bowl, this is an accurate capture of the performance. There are sonics shaved off due to the limitations of the microphones, microphones I have used a lot so I’m not trying to talk smack, as that is the nature of CSB mics - this is why the Hi-End DPA options are available.
