1996.10.24 - Tacoma, WA, USA @ The University of Pugent Sound; 'The Fieldhouse'

Source: Unknown Audio Recording
Source:
This is possibly a VHS > CD transfer

Notes: For a very cool autographed picture courtesy of Zach Ehlert, look below.
Notes: I am not positive that this recording was sourced from an analog cassette recorder with decent if not rather bland microphones - like some cheap Sony ECM's. In my mind and experience, there is potential that this recording was actually filmed. Could be. As it is, this recording was sub sequentially then traded out via cassette and after a few generations (after a deal of quality was lost) was put to CD. There is a layer of tape-hiss that coats the recording which too bad as the performance itself seemed to be quite good. Tool was just getting into the groove of this time period as well. however, the audio quality leaves some issues to be desired. For this reason, this may be best left and appreciated by + for collectors. The original source equipment information was lost or was not ascertained at the proper time. I remain confident that sometime this will change as will a master > CD transfer will occur. Time will tell. Apparently, there were some issues with sound at the venue and the band did not come onto stage for a long time. Talk about letting the crowd wait in anticipation.

Maynardism: "We were backstage, playing Monopoly. Totally forgot there was a show so sorry we are late."
