2002.07.25 - Tulsa, OK, USA @ Tulsa Expo Center
Source: Mini Disc --- Dynamic Audio Cardioids > Dynamic Audio Battery Box/Flat Response > Sharp MT-877
Notes: Surprisingly, this is the only known source for this show to be around. There is a rumor, by a little gnome, that there is another source of this show: an ALD>M1 source. But this is just a rumor, I am not one to gossip so you ain't heard that from me (cue: "In Living Color"). Nice capture of one of the best band's around in our day & age. The recording is crisp, clear & very sharp while the crowd noise is kept at a minimum. Although there are a few instances of crowd chatter, they are relatively few & far between. I think that this recording may be one of the better Mini Disc recordings of this leg of the tour. This is not a perfect recording and there are some blatant recording-limitations but not bad by any means. Also, the taper was probably relatively close to the speakers. Very nice. Tool seemed to have a relatively high amount of energy as the performance itself is really quite powerful, if that makes sense. Maybe not really different than any other shows but the energy this night seems to be rather intense. All in all, a show not to be missed.
