Notes - by Galen:
Fabulous audience recording. Being a taper and hearing this recording make me want to invest in a pair of COS-11 microphones as this recording is really, really nice. Kudos to the taper. Audio-wise, no issues at all. Performance-wise, well, that is another story. MJK got hit with a water bottle. He walked off the stage & did not continue performing from The Pot to 46&2 due to being hit (note: whoever did that, nice job you dumb-ass) which in this respect make the fact that they performed instrumentally rather cool. MJK also sounds a tad sick. If you listen to the intro of Rosetta Stoned instead of "picture this if you will" he says... well, you figure it out. I laughed rather hard when I heard it. Using WFM>10K Days as a closer is a winner as well. Nice way to end a performance with more of a whisper rather than a bang. In that respect, Tool did not perform a setlist as so all that many times during this leg which makes it kind of interesting as well.

Maynardism:
"Today's my friend Eddie's birthday...so at the count of three, I want everyone to yell...'Eddie, you're a fucking idiot'! It's not really his birthday."

Notes - by Taper:
On request, I have decided to share this recording. I wasn't going to trade it to anyone because of all the problems from the recording and the show, but here it is anyways. For the record - This was not the best show (in fact, probably the worst show) I have seen TOOL put on. Maynard was sick, he got hit in the head with a water bottle during The Pot and didn't sing the last verse or so of The Pot, and didn't sing again until the last verse of 46&2. In a way, that does make this a rare recording, since this is one of any(?) shows where you get to hear a 46&2 instrumental. Not only were there those problems, but due to Maynard being sick, TOOL didn't play Sober, Right in Two, Jambi and Lost Keys from the setlist. The sound that night wasn't the best I've heard and due to being an outside venue, I don't think it was dark enough for the light show and stage effects. The Recording: I wish I had been able to use my better mics (AT853), but had some technical difficulties at the last minute and had to go with a generic external mic, which didn't do too bad of a job. The sound turned out average - I had some errors extracting this show from my iHP-120's hard drive, so two songs were lost; Schism & Rosetta Stoned. Plus, there is about 25-30 secs of Wings missing, but I transitioned it somewhat, so it isn't quite as noticeable, but it is there. Between being incomplete, not being able to use my good mics and the poor performance that night, I would rate this as a collectors only show. Good to have only if you have to have every existing recording available. There IS a full, better copy out there and this is not it. Look for better shows from me in the near future. With that said... Enjoy! :o)

Notes - by Galen:

Not only is the bass completely brickwalled, the highs muffled, the mids buried but this is an incomplete recording. However, it is better than nothing, is it not? That would be in the eye of the beholder. This is definitely recommended strictly for collectors only attempting to listen to each source of Tool possible - and how many crazy people like that are around? The sound is very well below average for this era. Performance wise, this is not the best either; MJK was sick + got hit with a water bottle so what we hear is mostly an instrumental version of The Pot + 46&2. Bad, bad, bad stuff. At least they performed.

Notes - by Taper:

Maynard was hit by a bottle about 1/2 way through The Pot and left the stage. He came back out at the beginning of Forty Six & 2 to taunt the crowd during the song without singing. The band continued without him and he finally began singing again for the final verse / climax of Forty Six & 2. There were lots of pissed off fans. Listen :-) My seeds from the last 3 nights have been a bit lacking on the rock side... Since I'm trying to give a little something to everyone...for night 4 of this holiday stretch, here's Tool. The story of sitting in the parking lot ticketless until 60 min before show time when a drunken scalper walked up to me and gave me this great taping seat for free is indeed a great one, but I don't have the time or patience right now to tell it. Besides, you just got the long and the short of it :-)  Thanks to Steve and Bubba for witnessing such awesomeness which they will surely explain as just being the way I roll. Happy Holidays Everyone! PLEASE DO NOT NAME THIS SHOW, OR TORRENT IT ELSEWHERE "NAMED" AS SOMETHING ELSE. Also, obviously, please NEVER sell this recording, ONLY trade or share freely ! PLEASE do NOT encode to lossy formats (mp3, aac, etc) for reasons OTHER than personal use. I would rather not see this sendspaced, ysi'ed , etc all over the web in 17 different formats. Please preserve the quality as it has been presented to you. One last thing...just for the Tool crowd: Fuck you assholes who seed recordings without taper's permission/against their wishes ! You are the reason why great recordings like this are withheld for so long...

Notes - by Galen:
This is a good recording but not a great recording as the taper explains above although it is a decent enough capture. Unlike an alternative source, the vocals are actually quite high in the recording - those that are familiar with this leg of the tour know that this was a rare occurrence. The audience was rather annoying when MJK was MIA,
