Notes:
No, this audio source has not been floating around in the trade circles because it does not exist because some dumb-ass made up the source info! This source information has been floating around as AT>MT831 but is in reality just a DVD>CD rip of the video source. There are a few different rips of this out there so track times/disc times may vary. Watch out, a lot of people think that the above source info is a source - no. I would only believe the above source info if I got it from the taper, I suggest the same thinking for others as well - at least for this "source"! This is a direct result of SHN generated trading as people DL it, do not verify or know source info & then incorrect information gets reported. Grrr. I do suppose that it says something about how good the DVD is, eh? This has some of the best audio I've yet heard on a Tool recording sourced from a video. Really nice. The video is quite clear, is focused and gets some good shots of the entire band. A nice professional taping job. This must have been transferred to DVD by the taper as the video is without even one 'snowflake'.  I saw Tool the night before in Toledo, damn they were real, real good this time around. Really nice performance...the best setlist of the tour, in my opinion. Strong performance & good filming =  a nice product. Also, there seems to be a few different audio rips of this show, all are basically the same.

Notes:
Simply put, excellent recording. Other than a few instances of abrupt level changes + slight phasing, this is one of the most rock-solid captures of Tool from this leg of the tour. Vocals are clear, cymbals are crisp, bass is smooth and Adam's guitar playing is picked up perfectly.  Unlike other captures of Tool, the snare & cymbals are exceedingly clear. Not many recordings like this out there. It is very strange, the audience is rather quiet, this only makes for a better recording of course. The setlist that Tool performed was arguably the most exciting version from this tour with the addition of C&U + Third eye. Surprisingly, there are very few sources of audio from this performance. Take note that there may very well be different DAT>CD transfers out there at some point. Also, some people have confused a DVD>CD transfer as this source as well. The times below reflect CatalystX's transfer from the master DAT. All in all, highly recommended recording.
