Notes - (From year 2023): This along with the JC Dobbs ‘92 video are my two favorites of all time. This is just a great watch. New songs are loose, old songs are tight. Transitional stage.
Notes - (From year 2001): First show of '95. Performance is very interesting. Tool are playing in, basically, a big gymnasium. The taper stands towards the back of the venue & has a rather steady hand although there is a bit of talking & crowd noise. A barely audible layer of fuzz may be on this recording but is comparable, IMO, of the same type of fuzz you get when you make a mix-tape for your girlfriend. Make sense? This show is for people who are interested in the ever evolving nature of these songs. A couple times, the audio gets a little static as well. Different lyrics, track lengths & crowd reactions. Not that bad at all though. The video is quite good as well. A little grainy but not bad. Also, during 4degrees, a guy, who looks like MJK as he is in APC (wig), strips naked and acts 'seductively'. Maynard stares at this guy & sings directly at this dude in drag, rubbing himself - intense! Spooky. Kind of makes you wonder what the fuck 4* is about, no? The audio sort of pops in/out towards the end of this recording. This may be a collector's item as the occasional listener may not be interested in this recording like others may.
Notes - (From year 2004): There are so many different DVD versions floating around of this particular recording it is rather confusing & a little bit sickening. Once people started to use DVDs all the time, everyone & their brother puts rips to DVD from various VHS. That is a good thing and it is a bad thing. Besides the obvious bad elements, a good element is that about a year ago I heard a rumor about the taper/filmer putting this show to DVD from his master. Apparently, he did. This DVD is definitely the cleanest, clearest & sharpest filming out there of this source. I would be surprised if a cleaner copy ever appeared.Maynardism: "This is where they store the extra people, the food eaters. The consumers live here."
