Notes
: I found this recording to be quite enjoyable. Solid & without real issue. I must confess that although I would not use the iRiver myself as a recording Tool, it definitely served the taper well this evening. A lot has to do with the microphones as well. Clear vocals (although somewhat distant in the mix), clean guitar, not-a-completely-droned-out layer of bass & a pleasant capture of Danny's drumming leave one with an indication that this is an accurate + above average capture of Tool. The performance was rather standard for this leg & was just as solid. I suspect that this recording will find a way into your interest-level regardless of what membership level you bought into from Tool Army. Oooh.... sassed you!

Notes:
This source sounds like it was taped a good deal of distance away from the speakers, has a pervasive layer of bass that saturates other frequencies, features a good deal of crowd noise & also has a mid-level thud when the bass hits. This borders at times on mild bass distortion. It's not all that enjoyable to recommend someone's recording be best left for collectors only but this one is. The entire mix is muddy & it is hard to differentiate some of the more interesting nuances + intricacies of Tool's performance including when MJK pushes his voice to the limit as Danny crashes through a sequence during Right In Two. With the other interesting sources available it is curious as to who would ultimately pick this source versus another to rock out-to. Not many.

Notes - Taper:
Recording starts out a bit hot. Came out pretty decent. There is a spot or two between tracks where theres a dropout, not sure why. You get an occasional screamer but all in all the crowd was cooperative. Occasional mic adjustment sounds as well. Maynard didnt have much to say on this second of two nights at this venue. Pretty much the same setlist as the night before with one exception. This show will not fit on one disk. Split it wherever youthink is best for you. Enjoy!
Notes - Galen:
This source is by far the best sounding AUD source of this show known to exist. One of the better-sounding AUD recordings from this leg of the tour. And that is all I am going to say about this superb recording. That said, I have as sneaking suspicion that night #1 was also recorded and I would think that there would also be a couple items which are Interestingly Entertaining Magic.
