Notes: This is clearly a Cardioid recording which is helpful because the taper seemed to be a distance away from the PA’s. The crowd can be quite loud at times. Sonically, Cardioid recordings can be fantastic however a lot has to do with the microphones used. Having used Giant Squid omni microphones, I am well aware of the Giant Squid’s issues as a brand. They were quite inexpensive microphones 20 years ago. This source was captured with either a single/mono Cardioid which costs $35 USD or a stereo Cardioid which is right around $70. You get what you pay for and why the hell is this strikeout on my text?
