Note:For the first time since 1994, Tool allowed a broadcast of a performance, namely, Lollapalooza Argentina on March 22, 2025. The video is not zoomed-in but you get the effect of seeing a Tool show. However, what is truly interesting, is the fact that the audio is sourced from the Sound Board. It is fantastic, much better than the video. If one has never heard a Tool SBD or alternate thing, I recommend you check out YouTube in the interim… I am 100% sure that a lossless source will show up very soon. Excellent. Let us hope Tool continues on this particular path.

I think it is worth noting what a BIG deal this is. We now have SBD audio (not ALD or IEM) but straight up legit on-air broadcast of Tool's performance. Other than an unofficial SBD from Kalamazoo, MI in 1998 and various RF sources, it has been a desert in regards to source material like this. First time in 31 years Tool allows SBD audio?

Prove me wrong, this recording will be treasured. The video, meh maybe but the real star here is the audio.

2025-02-13

Been a long time since there was an actual CU.ORG update. Years. Maybe even a portion of a lifetime? Since the last real update on my end: thriving in reality with my best friend of 28+ years in both marriage + business, 3 amazing kids, consistently looking for first pressings of rare vinyl and avid live music creator/taper/collector. Oh, and a Tool fan.

A) The reason this site has been gone for so long is that the previous/old CU.ORG was created with Microsoft FrontPage 2003 which, as it turns out, the source code was full of security issues which meant that around 2017-ish , websites with that OG code started to get removed from searches by various measures. More on this under the “About” section. As it is, in order to continue the site I basically had to rebuild it from ground-up. A lot of the earlier work/reviews were completed, as I did it decades before, but the rest + updated formatting took me a very long time - roughly two years to get this site that you see here, now, up and running. No one pays me, in fact, I pay to do this thus what a terrible business model! Just a joke, the only ‘business’ related anything would be the remainder of CU.ORG shirts, stickers and pins available and that is from a sentimental paradigm. The intention is that this site will be routinely-ish updated with content with new additions listed; under the updates (just like it was with the first CU.ORG). I truly hope you enjoy the present and the gifts of what is to come in life.

B) This site is best utilized on a laptop/desktop computer rather than a smartphone due to the drop down menus.

C) The following Master Recordings (and/or closely associated but majority are Masters) were released for non commercial use only with no copywrite implied or given. The overwhelming majority of these recordings have never been released. That is, before now due to lack of motivation by the guilty parties or the realities of creating/having/managing a family. Resurrecting/reformatting/redoing CU.ORG from scratch made me realize that this was the time to release Masters from Collective Unconscious.org. Rumor has it they are/were on Dimeadozen (as of this date) but also, perhaps later, The Tool Drive Project may grab what is released (eventually) to add to their awe-inspiring archive like they do every other live Tool recording. Time will tell.
