Notes: For being sourced from a pair of headphones, seriously, this recording sounds very good. In fact, many -normal- mics do not yield as decent results. Do not get me wrong, you can tell that there are limitations but many people will not really notice it. When I first started out, I should've used the $30 or so dollar headphones he used. Pretty good, really. This particular show seems to have a rather limited # of tapers at it. It is nice that another source other than the VHS has surfaced. Tight performance & a nice recording that many, many collectors did not know was sourced from headphones.

Notes: Good sound for being sourced from a VHS. In fact, the sound itself is better than the video is, in my opinion. This is actually a very good sounding audio recording. For some reason, it makes me think that the audio is synced with the video in some form of matrix. Just my thoughts as, usually, videos do not have this clarity of sound. The video is very clear, this may be a 2nd Gen copy but we will call it 3rd Gem just to not over-estimate. Take a listen to the sound, tell me that isn't some of the best damn video>audio you've heard. Go ahead. Filming is semi-professional as the taper keeps steady most the time & gets some good close-ups. The audio is, again, good but may probably be more for collector's than most people. Opiate is cut 3/4 way through & Lateralus is missing due to the taper getting busted. Right as the sound fades out, you can hear a security guy go 'whoah --- you have to come with me' as the taper says 'oh man'. That, right there, is one of the reasons why I collect Tool as that, to me, is fundamentally entertaining and interesting. This recording/VHS is also relatively rare.
Note: The filmer was busted by security at Opiate so that is cut and Lateralus is missing. Now, how he got this video out of the venue, I have no idea. Cheers to the taper!
