Apparently.... Apparently this performance was this taper's first time ever taping. Must extend a hearty congratulations and sincere acknowledgment about your success; fantastic. First time out, too. Amazing, gotta say. With I think a bit of advice and borrowed equipment she took a chance that so many people would either not think about or not dare do. Do you remember your first recording or recordings?  Mine are/were complete messes with sonic distortion, movement and talking. Definitely not the case here. Good balance, all things considered. My only suggestion for this budding taper is to, hopefully, purchase some gear as if this, first, recording is indicative of success you will be plenty.

Jon sent this to me to upload here on DIME. Please big thanks to Jon! (Leave a comment for him!!!) He was busted right after 46&2. Asked what the they were for (the mics) and he said he would turn it off. The security guard left and came back with 6 event staff and they basically said, delete it and you can stay or leave and you can keep it. So he left. Great tape. I am a casual Tool fan and this is a sick tape. Thank you Jon!!!
Notes:  Ah , yeah, this is one of the sickest AUD recordings out there, tis a shame it is incomplete but even as it stands it is definitely arms reach above most recordings from this time period. Stunningly clear, particularly when you listen to the beginning of Third Eye, it's like you could hear a pin drop. I'm somewhat amazed of the overall quality of this; vocals are crystal clear in the mix, the subtle cymbal tap keeping rhythm, the chugging riff of Adam's guitar and the steady bass slaps are demonstration of a band absolutely entrancing the audience with their ability. The recording itself, I must say, the microphones really pull off a sweet, warm and soulful recording; something I had personally written off the R09 as being unable to do. Appears I was wrong. Highly recommended, even in it's incomplete state.  All that said, at times there is noticeable microphone phasing and movement. I suppose you may have to be paying close attention but it is there and once you hear it, you hear it. It is unclear what transpired at the end of 46 & 2 as the recording just turns off but at the beginning of the song, if you listen, you can hear people say “move, you gotta go” a few times.
