The Tool Project, referred to herein as TDP, is a resource for those interested in listening and ascertaining live recordings of the band Tool. You can grab almost everything listed on this website (in lossless format). There is no membership nor do you have to sign up for anything. TDP is ran by longtime Tool fans + excellent, professional level concert tapers (many of which who specialize in Tool, specifically). The TDP crew are OGT. This team has put a couple decades into their project. They do it for the love of live music of their favorite band; The Scott Hill Clown Band. Think of them as a collective of members who weave in and out of involvement when time permits, sort of like the loose association of tapers (and other musical acts) referred to as The Collective on certain recordings on this website. TDP’s logistics of hosting terabytes of information and updating it is nothing less than extraordinary. And they ask nothing in return. The TDP team is in it for the long haul and they care about showing appreciation to both Tool and the collective tapers. If you think about how you can say thank you to TDP if you download anything I suggest that if you taped Tool recently or a long time ago - contact them. If you feel like a rebel and think you have the cojones to tape a band like Tool, I bet they would attempt to guide you with recommendations (as would I, if you asked nicely).
The archivists, collectors and tapers are, in fact themselves, a large Collective of people who have helped with the Project at one time or another and the individual names are too numerous to list. However, we can boil it down to the two OGT’s of the TDP, those who got the TDP party started: Geordy + SpecialK.
Good job, guys.
