Notes - by: Taper: Maynard was bothered by a cold / sore throat, but stuck it out, and his mike was so low in the mix it wasn't noticeable anyway. Really expected better sound in the Auditorium as it's arguably the best venue in the City to see a show, but for a rock show it wasn't bad. This comes from the 1st balcony, just right of center, so there is considerable crowd noise, but this IS a TOOL show! First time live for "Right In Two" and it was great.  
Notes - by:Galen: Well. Huh. I suppose the most politically correct thing to mention was that MJK was sick thus that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the show/recording. However, the real issue at hand is this is thick -thick- with crowd noise. A lot of it. Not a little, a lot. It is the damn Sony ECM microphone that is to blame, for better or for worse... the tinny, high end capture has moments where it is difficult to make out the vocals over the screams from the audience. Sure, other recordings have a considerable amount of crowd noise, this is common, but then again few recordings from this era use Sony mics. I am doing my best to not comment on strictly personal tastes (in regards to microphone captures) but with a pair of reasonably priced CSB, OKMIIR or even GSAL mics would have yielded a clearer, more accurate reflection of the performance. However, all in all - not too bad. This is definitely above any threshold for "for collector's only" & does sport the debut of Right In Two. All in all, ok.  But definitely not my favorite.   
Notes: There is a well known IEM recording of this performance floating around and would be extremely easy to find if you know where to look: TDP.
