1993.05.25 - Manchester, England @ The Ritz
Euro-Tour
Opening for: Rage Against The Machine
Source: Sound Board > Analog Cables > Cassette-M > DAT-2 @ 32 KHZ
Taper: Sound Engineer
Gen: DAT-2
Notes: Particularly funny show. The part where MJK confronts the crowd about Morrissey (lead singer of legendary UK band, The Smiths) & they respond by chanting their disdain is enough to move even the most loyal Smiths fans (such as myself) to tears of laughter. Unlike other boards from this time period, the choir intro music was recorded for about 3 minutes prior to the band even walking on the stage. This recording very well could have been a thing of legend, however, once the recording gets to Sober - you are greeted with pervasive digital noise. Little "chh chh chhc" sounds, throughout - not good. This seems to be a problem at the source rather than a problem with the media. Great recording up until that time, though.
