Notes: Superb audience capture. I guess we will start there. Although there are a few instances of crowd "whooping" & the assorted annoying yelps, those instances do not actually detract from the ambience, energy & overall enjoyability (is that a word) of this source. From the near crystal clean vocals to the cutting riff of Rosetta Stoned (sans Lost Keys) to Justin's bass that does not bottom out encompassed by the thundering, precise & rhythmic drumming from Mr. Carey this source captures the performance of Tool on this night. Simple as that. It is hard to want anything other than this in a live recording. MJK appears to be in a delightful mood on this night as he, for better or worse, berates the crowd with insults, disrespect & 'dissing'. Definitely something you do not want to miss if you are a fan of quotes from the often rather quiet (for this leg) MJK. Quality, skill & a damn fine taping position yield a bountiful harvest by this taper. And to think, the Fox was apparently very, very close to him throughout this performance eyeing prey in the crowd.
Maynardism: "Bakersfield Huh? I regret to inform that I am not from here. Korn is though, you have that going for you."Maynardism: "Oh that's right, they took all your crack pipes at the door, ha ha."

Notes: The first thing that sticks out to me is how clear the vocals are when this source does not sound like it was super close to the stacks. Some minor crowd interactions and yelling but not where you hear someone’s voice in your ear. To my ears, it sounds the taper mitigated a lot of the crowd issue by putting the microphone capsules in a hat thus being elevated above the crowd. Really nice recording, well done in what literally sounds like a difficult taping environment.
