Notes:
Vibrant recording, all around. There is a bit of constant talking that coats the surface underneath the recording but this is one that everyone will want in their collection. Yes, this is a great performance by Tool and yes, this is the last show with the Fantomas and yes, the audio is real nice & sounds good...But more importantly, this is the live debut of Ticks & Leeches. Nice. The taper of this performance seemed to be either FOB or in the stands. This is not a front of stack recording. Sound is balanced and textured as well. Not really anything wrong with it, to be brutally honest. I would highly recommend this recording if for the quality and the debut. For those that enjoy a 'live' sounding, quality recording then this is for you.

Notes:
For overall enjoyment, really, not all that bad. However, this may be best left for collector's as the sound is not really brick-walled... I don't know, hard to explain... it sort of just grates on your eardrums. Also, there is a lot of talking by the filmer, that detracts from a really high rating as it is especially annoying on this recording. Filmed from the left of the stage, a good deal of the way up, this is the only known video capture of the debut of Ticks & Leeches. The video is surprisingly clean and crisp with very clear picture. Unfortunately, I purchased this recording from, reportedly, the taper's sister 1 day after the show.  This was, to many, a key performance with the implementation of Ticks & Leeches on the roster for the band. There are quite a bit of security ducks and heads that obscure what could have been a superb recording. All and all, not bad. Worth attaining though, in my view. Depends on what you are ultimately after I suppose.

Maynardism:
"This is the last show we're doing with our friends, Fantomas. So we wanted to dedicate a song to them that we don't normally do. It's called 'Buzz has a hair lip.'" <Ticks & Leeches>
