Notes:

This taper put his equipment to the test and aced it; nice job Prof! Who doesn't love a very ambient, crisp, clean, polished and otherwise dynamic live Tool recording? Anyone... Bueller? MJK's vocals are not completely buried in the mix, Adam's steady shredding correlates well with Justin keeping the time so Danny can do what he does best (next to flawlessly?). One of the best things about this source is that the taper was able to pick-up the ever-so difficult to capture 'Nard sound-effects during Rosetta Stoned (provided as sample). Yes, other sources do pick up the effects, however, not to the same effect here - no pun intended. Although there are the obvious Tool-ed-up-screamers in the venue they, fortunately, sound miles away thanks to something the taper did. Magic or Majic? Not sure. All in all, this source stands out for it's quality & should find it's way onto your CD player soon. Nicely done SpecialK. Now depending on how you look at it, the performance was either interesting as they extended parts of selected songs (i.e.: Lost Keys, Stinkfist) & performed for nearly 2 straight hours. Other people would think that is kind of a cop-out & would rather have heard more, shorter songs.

Maynardism:
"Hello, drunk Assholes. Seriously though. Seriously. How are you doing tonight? Sounds more like Kansas than Oklahoma."

Notes:
Nice recording that captures Tool in an ambient & wholistic manner. Of course there are instances of annoying crowd noise but when is this not the case? Of particular interest are the instances when this source captures the vocal effects MJK uses - quite a few sources miss these nuances. One of the better recordings by this taper from this leg, a hearty congratulations all around. As for the performance, well, uh so where are Vicarious & AEnema? Oh they did not play because they really extended Lateralus & whatnot? Ah ok. That's cool.
