Notes: Great capture of a finely tuned performance. The Sanken mics really do one heck of a job ascertaining the nuances of Tool’s music. The bass has quite a bit of depth. The taper must have been relatively close to the stacks as there is a lot of SPL directed at these microphones, you can hear it in the bass. If anything, Maynard’s vocals are not prominent in the mix however this tends to be sourced from the mix via the PA.
